So You Opened the Box Did You? ...

Girls With Brushes Paint Co. starts with Shelly Burné's story, a lifelong painter who learned the trade from her father in the 1980's, on his 42-man professional paint crew. She will tell you, she spent [wasted!] so many of her best years proving herself in a male-dominated industry - cleaning up, painting, carrying ladders - only to realize: maybe she didn't actually have to! With lots of grace and luck, Shelly learned to carry and climb like the best of them - only harmlessly falling off a few! Now, with 45+ years experience, she is a master of the craft.

Girls With Brushes is a woman-led painting crew dedicated to doing excellent work while creating opportunities for single parents and good-hearted folks to learn a skilled trade, support their families, and find belonging in a supportive team environment.

We believe beautiful work comes from the combination of focused attention, good team organization, and supportive group culture.

** Whether we’re painting a small room or an entire home, our 3 goals are simple: to share what we do best, to work together at a natural, supportive and fun pace, and to celebrate the beauty of detail done right. **

These three things always seem to leave people very happy with their spaces - so this picture is what we're aiming to keep on painting.
